Biomass Fuel Business
The biomass fuel distribution business is operated by ETA Woodchip Company Limited, the Company’s subsidiary. Biomass fuel supplied is wood chips from rubber (para) tree 13 species of trees permitted by the Royal Forest Department.
Wood chips are biomass fuels derived from wood scraps, timbers remaining from cutting, processing of dead evergreen trees or trees with no longer yield productivity and they can be found in any local area. They will be processed and cut into small pieces as per designed sizes to be used as biomass fuel to replace oil in many industries, such as the sugar factory, the textile dyeing factory or the factory required to use thermal energy, i.e., small power plant. At present, more power plants use wood chips as fuel, especially the industrial plants and the power plants which emit a large amount of carbon dioxide.
